Today's customer case study comes from an industry we haven't covered before, and we hope it will be helpful to other customers in this sector. This customer, a large shipyard in Greece, primarily uses our equipment to transport shipbuilding components. Conventional manual handling is inefficient and poses safety risks, which led them to contact us through our website. Their requirements were clear: an electric transfer cart with a payload capacity of 15 tons and a platform size of 3500 × 2500 mm. We configured the product accordingly.
During our discussions with the customer, we learned that the floor conditions in their workshop were relatively poor, with potholes and steel rails. As a result, we recommended φ400 rubber tread tires instead of standard polyurethane ones. These tires offer better surface resistance and are less prone to damage, thereby extending the equipment's service life.
Additionally, the electrical components of our material transfer carts are sealed and protected to ensure environmental adaptability. For safety, the machine is equipped with safety bumpers on all sides, causing it to stop immediately upon encountering an obstacle. Front and rear infrared scanning radars detect obstacles within a straight-line range. If a pedestrian or obstacle enters the safe distance zone, the cart stops immediately and only resumes operation once the path is clear.
We sincerely thank our customers for their support and trust. As a professional manufacturer of transfer carts, we are committed to providing customers with optimal solutions. Whether it's a shipyard, steel mill, or machinery manufacturer, our systems can be flexibly configured to meet specific operational needs. We hope to leverage our extensive industry experience to deliver up-to-date solutions for customers across a wider range of industries!
