The video above showcases one of our latest custom projects. A client in the stamping industry, who uses steel coils as raw material, needed a customized transfer cart to move coils from storage to the production line.
They contacted us through our YouTube channel. Our discussions revealed that their steel coils have an outer diameter ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 mm, and they frequently need to transport coils of different sizes. Based on these requirements, we developed the following customized solution.
We selected our DWP series electric trackless transfer cart because it offers flexible routing and eliminates the cost of installing tracks. The key feature of this customized cart is that it does not have a standard V-shaped workbench. Instead, it is fitted with four arched supports that can be adjusted laterally to accommodate coils of varying diameters.
These arched supports securely hold the coils in place, preventing them from shifting during operation and mitigating a potential safety risk. For overall transport safety, the cart is also equipped with overload protection, an emergency brake, and a sector-scanning radar with a wider range for enhanced monitoring and protection.
While conventional transfer carts offer optional features like a personnel detection system and environmental monitoring radar, this unit comes standard with the advanced radar for superior safety.
